Founded in 2003 by Tom Gambale, MediaRacket was a concept born out of a growing need to provide professional grade Sound Design and Audio Post Production services at competitive rates to independent film, advertising and content producers, as an alternative to larger, less budget-friendly facilities in NYC.

Over the years, Tom's client roster has grown to include an impressive array of industry leaders and creative partners. We’ve collaborated with major brands and networks such as Major League Baseball (MLB), Refinery29, The Sundance Channel, Moët, The New York Times, YouTube, Warner Bros. Home Video, USA Network, ESPN, BMW, The Radio Mercury Awards, NY1 News, Hulu, Discovery ID, KIA, and The History Channel—as well as numerous independent producers and directors.
As a Sound Designer, Dialogue Editor, and Re-Recording Mixer, Tom displays a diverse and dynamic body of work spanning feature films, documentaries, and television. His documentary credits include high-profile projects such as the Warner Bros. documentary Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures; HBO’s two-part investigative docu-series Gaming Wall Street; Norman Mailer: The American, a deep dive into the life of the controversial novelist; the gripping baseball documentary War on the Diamond; as well as 2018's Weed the People and 2021's The Business of Birth Control, both produced by Ricki Lake.
Tom’s feature film work includes the Official Cannes Film Festival selection Stop the Pounding Heart; the indie drama Bereave, starring Malcolm McDowell, Jane Seymour, and Keith Carradine; My Hindu Friend, the final film from acclaimed director Hector Babenco starring Willem Dafoe; the sci-fi/psychological thriller Alterscape with Michael Ironside; Junction, directed by and starring Bryan Greenberg and featuring Griffin Dunne; and the 2025 indie drama Beyond the Rush, featuring Eric Roberts, Mena Suvari, and Cathy Moriarty.
On the television side, Tom’s more recent credits include ViceTV’s crime docuseries Betraying the Badge; Shakira: Desde Times Square, a special broadcast for NBC/Univision, A&E’s acclaimed series Hip Hop Treasures, celebrating 50 years of Hip Hop culture and the The 2025 Caribbean Music Awards on BET.
Many of the films Tom has contributed to have been featured in and received accolades from prestigious film festivals, including the Sundance Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, SXSW, Boston Film Festival, Dallas International Film Festival, Brussels International Film Festival, and more.
